MacDial takes on new members

Easy computer-based telephony now for Tiptel, Asterisk and elmeg telephones

Hannover, Germany − March 10, 2005: Just in time for CeBIT, software developer equinux has released two new versions of its well-known MacDial software. With MacDial, equinux offers THE computer-based dialing solution for Mac. The program offers support not only for elmeg telephones, but also for Tiptel and Asterisk telephone systems.

MacDial is a unique OS X product which allows for easy one-click dialing direct from Mac programs such as the Mac OS X address book and FileMaker. Now working down a telephone list is easy and you don´t have to dial a single number. Connections to a variety of applications in Mac and Unix are made possible through support for AppleScript and Shell Script.

Customers with telephone systems from Tiptel (Tiptel 192, Tiptel 193, Tiptel 195, Tiptel 175clip, Tiptel 82system, Tiptel 84system) and users of the free voice over IP systems from Asterisk can now use this comfortable solution for their Mac.
Also for elmeg customers, the software has been expanded to support C100 and CS100 (along with the current supported models: CS410, CS410-U, C320, CS320, C310, CS310, C300, CS300)
Additionally, MacDial dialing-guidelines have been improved, thus it is no longer necessary to modify telephone book entries. MacDial is also available with German localization.
