The first all-in-one tool to make PC-only Internet cameras Mac compatible

San Francisco, California − January 10, 2006: At MacWorld Expo in San Francisco, equinux today introduced On Air for Mac OS X. With On Air, Mac users can now take advantage of the up and coming IP-based camera technology. In an innovative, broadcast-room style interface, On Air allows you to connect to economically priced PC-only supported network cameras to view and record on your Mac.

„Mac users are always the first to adopt new technologies, but until now, they could not benefit from a new wide range of low-cost network cameras because they were not Mac compatible", said Till Schadde, CEO of equinux. „With the introduction of On Air, not only are we introducing an innovative interface for managing multiple streaming data sources, but are also bringing an imminent technology to the Mac market. You can be sure that we'll be supporting more and more network cams in the future."

Users can trace multiple cams at a time publishing the cam's screenshots to Apple .Mac accounts. On Air supports a number of third party IP camera manufacturers. It provides a built-in camera wizard for easy setup on Macs. The support of third party manufacturers is constantly increasing and can be checked online at
