CoverScout 2.2 - the matchmaker

CoverScout brings together what belongs together, it copies proprietary iTunes 7 covers into the corresponding music file.

Munich (Germany) / San Mateo, CA (USA) − October 06, 2006: CoverScout 2.2 allows to easily copy artwork, originally applied by iTunes 7, into the music file as standard ID3 tag. Benefits of the new feature are obvious: greater portability, elevated flexibility as well as boundless independance of iTunes 7. Covers are attached to single songs and complete albums and therefore always shown - all the time and no matter in which application the song is played. The CoverScout interface has been adapated accordingly and now displays both, the current cover status and the cover type (Cover Flow vs. ID3) in the library browser.
To round things up, equinux fixed some minor issues as well as improved the compilation feature. Compilations are now handled transparently as having no particular artist.

This update is free of charge to all existing CoverScout 2.x customers. More information and the option to download a free trial version of CoverScout is available on the equinux website. Purchases can be made directly in the secure equinux online store or at one of equinux' authorized resellers.
