equinux releases Macintosh client for UPS

APC Tracker regularly powers off a Macintosh client computer once power is interrupted.

Munich (Germany) / Boston (USA) − July 25, 2001: Many companies are using UPS hardware from APC in a network to protect their computers from power failures. While networkable shutdown software is available for Linux and Windows users only, MacOS users haven't had such a option up to now.

The equinux APC Tracker closes this gap: The application listens for signals from a network APCUPSd server that is directly connected to the UPS. In case of a power failure the client is thus able to shut down the Macintosh properly.
