Placeshift with The TubeNow Mac users can enjoy digital TV with The Tube, regardless of their current location. The Tube features placeshifting to live-stream digital TV content via iChat.
The Tube introduces Placeshifting
The current digital TV show can be shared with others via iChat. Leopard users can simply drag a The Tube icon into an active video chat to enjoy the show with friends via iChat Theater. The iChat partner can even record a video clip of the show being shared. To make streaming TV easy, The Tube offers a dedicated menu item: Just select your iChat buddies, start a video chat and then drag The Tube's icon onto the open video chat window.
Record Live-Stream
With iChat Theater it's even possible to record the streamed video. You just have to start the recording in the iChat menu and ask the sender to allow the recording. Once you've finished recording the Live-Stream, the video will automatically be exported and appear in your iTunes library. |
