Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to replace my macOS Server to get my VPN working again
No. Even though macOS 26 no longer supports the legacy VPN methods used by older macOS Server installations, you do not need to replace your server. The issue exists on the client side: macOS 26 blocks the outdated algorithms required by the macOS Server L2TP and IPSec VPN.
VPN Tracker includes its own VPN engine that remains compatible with these legacy macOS Server settings, allowing you to continue using your existing server without changes. Learn more here: macOS Server VPN not working.
