Frequently Asked Questions

How do I install a Linux VPN on my Mac?

You do not usually install "Linux VPN" software directly on your Mac. Instead, you connect your Mac to a VPN server running on Linux, for example Ubuntu, Debian, Rocky Linux, or CentOS Stream.

With VPN Tracker, choose the VPN protocol your Linux server uses, such as WireGuard, OpenVPN, IKEv2 IPsec, L2TP over IPsec, or SoftEther, then import the configuration file or enter the server settings manually. For Linux-specific setup guidance, see the VPN Tracker guides for Debian VPN on Mac and CentOS Stream VPN on Mac.
