Frequently Asked Questions

Can I import a WireGuard or OpenVPN configuration from a Linux server into VPN Tracker?

Yes. If your Linux VPN administrator gives you a WireGuard .conf file or an OpenVPN .ovpn file, you can import it into VPN Tracker and use it to connect from your Mac.

This is often the fastest setup method because the server address, certificates, keys, ports, and routing settings are already included in the file. VPN Tracker also supports Linux admin workflows where multiple WireGuard or OpenVPN configurations need to be imported and managed for users.

For import workflows, see the VPN Tracker guide to OpenVPN on Mac or the guide to importing and rolling out WireGuard connections.
