My VPN Tracker plan renewed with too many licenses. How can I reduce the license count?
You can convert your already renewed VPN Tracker licenses into store credit and use that credit to purchase the smaller number of licenses you now need.
A completed renewal cannot be changed retroactively to a lower license count or partially refunded to the original payment method. Instead, the remaining value is retained as a promo code for a future purchase in the equinux Store.
Follow these steps:
- Open the self-service license exchange portal and sign in with the equinux ID associated with the renewed VPN Tracker plan.
- The page may list multiple plans. Check the box only next to the plan you want to convert into a promo code, then review its displayed remaining value.
- Under “Confirm Selection,” check both confirmation boxes: confirm that the selected plan will end immediately and be converted into a transfer promo code, and acknowledge the promo code's validity period.
- Review your selection once more and click “Convert now.” Once the conversion is complete, the licenses belonging to the selected plan will stop working. The promo code will also be sent to you by email.
- Open the VPN Tracker Store and add the VPN Tracker plan with the reduced number of licenses to your cart. If applicable, enter your VAT number.
- Enter the promo code next to the green purchase button and complete the order.
- Assign the newly purchased licenses to the correct team members again.
The issued promo code is valid for 365 days from its issue date. If its value exceeds the price of the new order, the remaining amount will be emailed to you as another promo code. This balance also remains store credit and is not paid back to the original payment method.
