Why does my UniFi OpenVPN connection stop working after a server update?
Recent UniFi updates disable OpenVPN compression. If LZO is still enabled in your existing VPN Tracker connection, the connection may therefore no longer establish successfully.
To update the connection:
1. Edit your UniFi OpenVPN connection in VPN Tracker.
2. Go to “Advanced Options” and open “Phase 2 (OpenVPN).”
3. Set “Compression” to “No.”
4. Remove “LZO” from the list of compression algorithms.
5. Save the connection and connect again.
You do not need to import a new .ovpn file. For more information about setting up UniFi connections, see the UniFi VPN Setup Guide.
