The channel numbering is used to assign a number to each channel, which, for example, corresponds to the number on your remote control. In the TV Pro settings under "Add Channels", tap "My Channels" and you can automatically renumber your channels there according to your current order. To change the numbering individually, tap the box with the number in the channel line. To also see the numbering on other devices, tap "Transfer channel list to my other devices" at the very top and then tap Save. On the other devices, tap here on "Load" to load the channels with their numbering. At the very bottom of the channel list, you have the option to remove the channel numbers again.
If you can’t open the TV Pro app at all, there may have been a data loading error. To fix this, please proceed as follows: **On iPhone/iPad**:
  • Go to the device's system settings.
  • Search for "TV Pro" in the search field at the top.
  • Select the TV Pro app
  • Activate the "Reset" switch.
  • Restart the app
Please note: Resetting the app will delete all data, i.e. personal settings such as favorites lists, channel selection, etc. may be lost by resetting.

Thanks to environmentally friendly, digital technology, the TV Pro App saves a lot of CO2, compared to conventional TV magazines. This means that no trees are felled, and no mountains of paper need to be elaborately printed, transported and ultimately disposed of. In terms of environmental protection, TV Pro is clearly the better alternative to TV Spielfilm & Co. In addition, the program data is always up to date, unlike the TV magazine subscription. Nice side effect: The annual fee for the TV magazine alternative is also far below the price of a conventional TV newspaper subscription. Nothing stands in the way of canceling the TV magazine.
The remote control in TV Pro was originally developed for various TV manufacturers and tested with many models. Unfortunately, TV manufacturers are constantly changing the protocol for the remote control, so it is almost impossible to keep up with it here. We have therefore reluctantly decided in early 2020 to discontinue support for this. The remote control feature will therefore no longer be developed further. We will leave this feature in the app for existing users for at least two years (as of 03.02.2020) and then remove it. Update 25.08.2022: With version 5 of TV Pro, the remote control code has now been removed. Update 02.09.2022: We are planning a return of the old remote control code after persistent user feedback (strictly for existing users!) in version 5.0.5, without any guarantee of usability and without support. We look forward to the many 5 stars that were promised to us upon the return of the feature ;-) However, we would like to point out that we will have to remove the feature in a later version of TV Pro for technical reasons, as newer iOS versions impose restrictions that no longer allow the code to be used. Also, many (of course nice and purely motivating!) 1-star ratings will then not help either. Unfortunately!
You can define the channel sort order yourself in TV Pro. The sort order is then taken into account in all views. How it works:
  • Select TV Pro > Settings > Add channels > My channels
  • Tap the handle on the right and drag the channel to the desired position
  • The “Automatic numbering” function can be used to assign numbers to the channels. Alternatively, you can manually assign a number to each channel by clicking on the number field next to the channel.

If numbers have already been assigned in the past, these can be corrected under Settings - Add channels - My channels. Then, as usual, tap on the number fields on the right and enter a different number. Tip: It is easiest to first sort the channels there in the order of your television and then tap on “Automatic numbering” at the top. If you add channels later, they will not automatically be assigned a number. Move the channel back to the desired position and tap on “Automatic numbering” again. If the channel order is still incorrect or some channels cannot be changed, it may help to remove all channel numbers at the very bottom of the “My channels” list and start numbering again.

    In your channel list, you determine which channels are displayed in the program views, in what order they should be displayed, and you can also assign channel numbers (e.g. corresponding to the arrangement on your remote control).     The TV Pro App can currently only synchronize the watchlist between iOS devices. There is currently no synchronization with TV Pro Apple TV.
    TV Pro provides three days of TV program in the free version. If you want to use TV Pro for free, you can create a free TV Pro ID and then receive 7 days of TV program. Do you want more? With TV Pro Gold Start you receive 14 days of program (plus “yesterday” function), with TV Pro Gold Max you even get 16 days of program (plus 60 days back!).
    To cancel or manage a subscription in the App Store, open the App Store, sign in, and click on your account icon in the bottom left corner of the window. Then, click "View information" in the top right of the window, enter your password if prompted and scroll down until you see the subheading "Manage".     When purchasing a TV Pro subscription prematurely, the Apple App Store cannot credit this period. Therefore, the annual subscription starts on the day of purchase. It is therefore best to wait until the GOLD PLUS status expires and then purchase the corresponding subscription directly in the TV Pro Store.

    1. Check in which app the purchase was made

    Please check in the first step in which TV Pro app you purchased the Gold status. You can find the app name on the purchase receipt. This is either:

    Alternatively, you can find out in which app you purchased it by checking in the App Store settings under:

    2. Open the app and transfer the Gold status to the TV Pro ID

    Please open the app in which you purchased the Gold status in the next step.
    • If you purchased Gold in TV Pro Classic, follow these steps:
      • 1. Open TV Pro Classic
      • 2. Tap the gear in the bottom right
      • 3. Select TV Pro Gold
      • 4. Log in with your TV Pro ID or create a new TV Pro ID (free) if you don't have one yet
      • 5. Tap "Restore Purchases"
      Now your Gold status has been saved in your TV Pro ID
    • If you purchased Gold in TV Programm TV Pro, follow these steps:
      • 1. Open TV Programm TV Pro
      • 2. Open Settings
      • 3. Tap the first entry: this is usually your name and/or email address or "Not logged in"
      • 4. Log in with your TV Pro ID or create a new one if you don't have one
      • 5. Tap "Restore Purchases"
    Now your Gold status has been saved in your TV Pro ID

    3. Restore Gold status on another device or in another app

    To transfer your Gold status to your second device or to another version of TV Pro, please follow these steps:
    • Open the corresponding app on the target device
    • Go to the TV Pro Gold settings as described above and log in with your TV Pro ID
    • Tap "Restore Purchases"
    • Your TV Pro status should now also appear here
    For TV Pro 5: Please create a TV Pro ID. The watchlist will be synchronized via the TV Pro ID in the future. From version 5, iCloud will no longer be used for synchronization. For older versions of TV Pro: Please first check whether you are using iCloud Sync with the same Apple ID on both devices. Then check under TV Pro > Settings > Data & iCloud whether the “Sync via iCloud” function is activated. If it is activated, try deleting the TV Pro iCloud data from these settings on both devices and then try again.
    It may happen that a channel column remains empty in the overview and does not display any program data. Other views in TV Pro that list the channel are also affected. In this case, there is a problem with the channel data of this channel. You do not need to notify us. We are aware of this and are trying to display the program data again as soon as possible.
    TV Pro Gold Max is the new extended Gold package for TV Pro. It includes the new large package “Home Cinema” with Live TV and Streaming Integration and many more features. Users of TV Pro Gold (new name: TV Pro Gold Start) can switch to Gold Max at any time.
    No, these items are saved in the TV Pro Cloud and become available to you again after a reinstallation and logging in with your TV Pro ID. First, make sure in the TV Pro settings that you are logged in with your TV Pro ID: your name and/or email address should be displayed at the top. Now, tap on "Add Channel" in the settings and then on "Sync" at the top. Now you can save your channel selection in the TV Pro Cloud with "Save". After reinstallation, tap on "Load" here if your channels are not loaded automatically. Your favorites list is saved automatically, you don't need to do anything here.     At the start, the Covergirl Jenny appears in the TV Pro app on the iPhone. You can change this start image with your own image:

    TV Pro Gold Max is a package for the TV Pro App. It includes TV program, TV scheduling, Live TV and Mediathek programs - all directly in the TV Pro App. No further app is required! We also offer the Live TV and TV Pro Mediathek apps, which exclusively offer Live TV and Mediathek content. Optional in-app packages are available there, but are not part of the TV Pro Gold Max package.
    • Please open your iPhone settings (the General ones, not the TV Pro ones)
    • Go to "Accessibility" and then to "Subtitles & Captions"
    • Check that the "Advanced Subtitles + Captions" switch is NOT green. If the switch is green, subtitles will be displayed in the streams.

    The packages are independent and only transferable within one platform. It is best to secure the packages directly on the TV Pro Homepage.

  • If no programs are displayed for an entire day or for a channel, there is likely an error loading the data. To fix the problem, please try reloading the day. If this does not improve:

    In the TV Pro settings (gear icon), tap on the “TV Pro Cloud” section and tap “Delete program data on this device”. TV Pro will now download all program data again.
    We often receive support tickets with abusive language in error messages to motivate our developers to make changes. Yes, it is normal for there to be threats to immediately delete the app, cancel an existing subscription, or tell everyone how stupid we are. Of course, there are also threats of police or lawyers. Unfortunately, it often culminates in the worst insults. Often there is also a note that all of this is supposed to help motivate us to make changes. The best way to proceed: simply describe the problem in detail. Ideally, in such a way that the email can also be included in our product meetings for error and feature discussions. Insults unfortunately do not help as motivation.
    TV Pro Gold aus der Classic App kann leider nicht auf ein TV Pro Max Upgrade angewendet werden. Warum?     TV Pro for iPad automatically downloads data for upcoming days. No further configuration is necessary. Simply leave the app open for a while, missing days will be automatically detected and reloaded.

    With TV Pro Version 5, we introduced the Home Cinema Package and many other features. These new features are available with the “TV Pro Gold Max” package. To avoid confusion, the packages “TV Pro Gold” and “TV Pro Gold Plus” have been renamed to “TV Pro Gold Start”. This is a purely name change. The feature set of “TV Pro Gold” and “TV Pro Gold Plus” remains unchanged.
    TV Pro Home Cinema is a new feature since TV Pro version 5. It offers live TV and media library integration directly in TV Pro in a new attractive TV Pro Player.     In the mini-player (iPhone: bottom, iPad: top right) a cross appears: tap it to close the mini-player. In the detail view of a broadcast, you can also mute the sound for a live or media library stream (tap the stream and tap the speaker in the top right) so that the broadcast does not disturb browsing the TV program (also in the mini-player). If you want to permanently disable the mini-player, you can turn off the automatic playback of broadcasts in the TV Pro settings under "Home Cinema".     No, all features of the old TV Pro Gold and Gold Plus package have been retained, and new features have also been added for existing TV Pro Gold customers, such as TV Pro Cloud. We are part of the equinux Group and therefore, at heart, a software and IT company. Our in-house editorial team maintains the TV program content, our development team programs the apps and the cloud operation takes place in the data center in Germany, also operated by us ourselves. We therefore consider ourselves more of a "boutique" in the flood of TV program apps. For us, usability, good optics play a bigger role than the optimization of advertising spaces. We are also driven by new technologies, so our apps are usually immediately adapted to the latest features of iOS. Our refinancing is almost exclusively from revenues from subscription income.     Yes, our apps are fully Airplay compatible. Live TV and TV Pro Mediathek also work excellently with Airplay 2. With Airplay you can wirelessly transmit picture and sound from your Mac, iPhone or iPad to an Apple TV or speakers. With Airplay 2 you can even connect your iOS device with many supported Smart TVs and stream Live TV or the TV Pro Mediathek on your Smart TV, for example.     Indeed, the AppStore on iPhone and iPad sometimes "hangs" and cannot update apps. In this case, deleting the app, then restarting the device and reinstalling the app helps.     Assuming a program is running on Friday night at 0:05 AM. In the TV Pro Apps, however, this program appears in the listing on Thursday at 0:05 AM. Why is that? For the TV day, it is assumed that the TV day starts at 5 AM and lasts until 4:59 AM the next day. Two reasons: - If you look in the listing for what’s running on Thursday evening, say from 11 PM, you also want to see the programs that start at 0:05 AM. You "think" it’s still "Thursday evening". Therefore, programs after midnight are also counted as Thursday. - It is based on the "wake cycle", i.e. until you go to bed (hopefully before 5 AM!) programs are counted to the day you got up, i.e. are awake. A program at 2 AM is therefore still counted to the mentioned Thursday and not (calendarically correct) to Friday. Friday contains all programs until Saturday morning at 4:59 AM. From 5 AM the new TV day then starts.
