It is possible to charge all of these devices with the tizi Tankstation and tizi Tankstelle USB-C chargers. Note regarding MacBook 15" Touch Bar The MacBook 15" Touch Bar is shipped with a Apple 87 watt charger. The full 87 watts are rarely required for normal use. They are only needed when the MacBook Pro 15" Touch Bar is under full load (for example when executing processor intensive tasks like gaming or Video cutting, or when other external USB-C devices are connected to your MacBook Pro.) In such cases it can happen, that your MacBook Pro 15" either charges slower than the original charger, or possibly lose some of its charge. Things like quitting intensive Apps, reducing screen brightness, or disconnecting external USB-C consumers will help to reduce the power consumption.
During normal use, a 60W charger like the tizi Tankstation USB-C + 3 USB-A (75W) or the tizi Tankstelle 60W USB-C is sufficient to achieve comparable charging speeds as the original charger from Apple.
USB-C is a new connector type, which largely replaces the previous square USB-A connector.

The advantages of USB-C:

  • The USB-C connector is reversible, there is no longer a top and bottom
  • With USB-C you can charge much faster than with old USB-A connectors
  • USB-C enables faster data communication
  • The number of different USB connector types is significantly reduced

Reversible:

The USB-C connector is flat and rounded on the sides. It remains largely symmetrical and can be inserted in both directions. With old USB connectors, such as USB-A or Micro USB, a special reversible cable like a tizi flip cable had to be used to enable reversible insertion. With USB-C, this is part of the technology. The connector can be inserted in both directions and thus protects both the connector and the socket from damage due to incorrect insertion. And it is of course much more practical.

Faster charging:

USB-C generally enables faster charging than standard USB, but fast charging must be supported by both the end device and the power supply. The so-called USB-C Power Delivery or USB-C PD is used to charge much faster. With the previous standard USB-A, 12 watts were usually charged, with USB-C PD charging with 5W to 100W is possible. This also makes it possible to charge computers such as the Apple MacBook and other powerful devices via USB-C. Note: Due to the higher performance with USB-C PD, there is also a greater potential danger to connected devices. Therefore, especially with USB-C Power Delivery power supplies, it is important to use only quality products such as tizi power supplies.

Faster data communication

Generally, a USB-C connector also supports faster data transfer, but this depends on both the devices used and the connector and the cable. Fastest speeds of up to 20 Gbit/s can be achieved with compatible devices with USB 3.2 Gen2x2 and via corresponding USB-C connectors and cables.

Only one connector for everything

The previous USB connector has various designs:
  • USB-A Male and Female
  • USB-B
  • Micro-USB A
  • Micro USB-B
  • USB Mini-B
  • USB 3.0 A
  • USB 3.0 B
  • etc.
The hope is to avoid this mass of different connectors with the USB-C standard and switch to a universal connector. Various smartphone, tablet and computer manufacturers such as Apple, Google and Samsung have already switched to USB-C.
With tizi's USB-C PD (Power Delivery) quick charging adapters, you can charge your devices incredibly faster. However, in order to achieve the optimal charging speeds for your device, you need the right cable!

Quickly charge devices with Lightning ports (iPhone 13, iPhone 12, iPhone 11, iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPad Pro)

The following Apple Lightning devices are fully compatible with USB-C Power Delivery:
  • iPhone 13 Pro Max
  • iPhone 13 Pro
  • iPhone 13
  • iPhone 13 mini
  • iPhone 12 Pro Max
  • iPhone 12 Pro
  • iPhone 12
  • iPhone 12 mini
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max
  • iPhone 11 Pro
  • iPhone 11
  • iPhone SE (2nd Gen.)
  • iPhone XS
  • iPhone XS Max
  • iPhone Xr
  • iPhone X
  • iPhone 8
  • iPhone 8 Plus
  • iPad Pro 12.9"
  • iPad Pro 10.5"
  • iPad Pro 9.7"
In order to quickly charge Lightning devices via USB-C Power Delivery, you will need Apple's original USB-C to Lightning cable. A generic USB-A to Lightning cable using a USB-C to USB-A adapter reduces the charging speed to 5V, 2.4A. There is only one official USB-C to Lightning cable, which is the one made by Apple, as shown here. Other cables offered by third party manufacturers are unlicensed and unoffical, as Apple have not yet released a production license for this cable type (as of Dec 2017.) This essentially means that any other varieties of USB-C to Lightning cable (e.g on eBay or Amazon) are fake. The result? Your device won't charge correctly. In addition, Apple are also able to deactivate unlicensed products with every iOS update, so steer clear!

In order to quickly charge your Apple MacBook Pro, MacBook or iPad Pro via USB-C, you will need a USB-C to USB-C cable which supports USB-C PD (Power Delivery.) Perfectly suitable for this is the tizi Flip USB-C to USB-C Cable.

Charging with the tizi Schlitzohr

The tizi Schlitzohr is not suitable for quick charging via USB-C Power Delivery, as it works using a USB-A connector. It is possible to charge USB-C devices with the tizi Schlitzohr, but in this case, USB Standard protocol is used and the device will charge at a maximum of around 12W.
The answer is clear: yes. USB-C devices use the PD, Power Delivery standard for charging. Here, the device, such as the MacBook Air, asks the tizi power adapter how many watts the tizi power adapter could provide at most. Then the charging controller starts in the MacBook Air and actively draws exactly the power it needs to charge. If, for example, only 30 watts are needed, the MacBook Air only draws 30 watts. A more powerful tizi power adapter can therefore never harm a USB-C device. The device itself decides on the power consumption.
Please check if your cable is authentic. USB-C to Lightning cables must be Apple Mfi certified. There are regular problems with uncertified cables. The reason for this is that both connectors include proprietary chips. Unfortunately a lot of these "fake Chinese cables" are offered on eBay and Amazon. We recommend the use of tizi flip ULTRA cables in combination with tizi products: tizi flip ULTRA USB-C to Lightning cables
Of course, an iPhone can be charged at any tizi USB-C port without compromising security. The same applies to smaller devices such as AirPods cases. However, it should be noted that each device has a maximum charging speed, so iPhones do not see any speed improvements at a 60W connection compared to a 30W connection. The safety of the device is guaranteed as long as the cables used are intact and the operating instructions are followed.
Compatibility with Qualcomm QuickCharge / QC would reduce the performance when charging Apple iPads. We strongly advise Apple users to stay away from USB-C chargers with QC standard. In some cases, the QC protocol overrides communication with Apple iPads, which means that the best charging performance will not be achieved. With the tizi USB-C power delivery chargers, we have deliberately decided not to integrate QC. The power supply is designed to be fully optimized for Apple users.
Yes, tizi charging products with USB-C ports, such as the Tankstelle USB-C, the charging stations with USB-C or the tizi Turbo Charger ULTRA support fast charging via Power Delivery on the iPad Pro (2018). The iPad Pro (2018) has a USB-C port. The tizi flip USB-C cable or the Apple USB-C cable are recommended as connection cables. The use of cheap China cables is strongly discouraged. Cheap cables can only be produced by saving on the copper content in the cable. The copper content of these cheap cables is usually too low and can lead to heating or fire of the cable.
For charging, we use version PD 2.0 in the USB-C port. In general, versions 2.0 and 3.0 of Power Delivery are congruent in the charging power area. Version 3.0 only brings additional information and functions, such as reporting overtemperature or voltage drops, etc.
Yes, your tizi gadgets also work in the USA. All you need is a plug in adapter! The power supply in your tizi device works with both 220V and 110V.
You will find the Quick Start Guide for your tizi device on our website:

Here you can also register all of your devices, so you have them all in one place.

No, your tizi power adapter is not defective. A small "operating system" runs on the Lightning cable from tizi or Apple, which controls the communication between the device to be charged and the tizi power adapter. This cable should not remain permanently connected to the power adapter if no iPhone or iPad is connected as a consumer. Therefore, always unplug the Lightning cable when you are not charging. If the cable is permanently operated on the power adapter, there is a trick to restart the Lightning cable: connect the end device once, then disconnect it. The Lightning cable will now reset. Then connect it normally for very fast charging.
All iPhones with fast charging (Power Delivery with tizi flip ULTRA or Apple Lightning to USB-C cable) charge very quickly up to 80%. From around 80%, the iPhone's operating system generally reduces the charging speed. How much this reduction is depends on the device's operating temperature. The iPhone further reduces the charging function if it generates a lot of heat. A cold environment or targeted cooling of the iPhone (e.g. removing it from the case, placing it on a cold surface or even using cooling packs) then helps to continue fast charging even from 80%.

iPhones and iPads are *not* "dumb" batteries that get connected to a charger. Some people may believe this and there are various myths on the internet about this. Where does this theory come from? It might originate from charging standard AA or AAA household batteries. In this scenario, the charger is actively doing the charging and the battery is "dumb" and gets charged. Here, in the worst case scenario, the battery can be destroyed by charging it wrong. Apple and all modern smartphone manufacturers use active charging control mechanisms with in their devices. The iPhone/iPad or smartphone actively decides how much current to use and which energy gets requested from the charger. In no case will a tizi device "push" a certain amount of power into an iPhone/iPad or smartphone! How can a tizi charger always provide iPhone / iPads with maximum fast performance? The best way to imagine this is as follows: When plugged in, an iPhone / iPad uses a communication protocol to ask the power supply about the maximum power that can be drawn. Our tizi charging devices (Tankstelle, Tankstation, Turbolader, Kraftprotz, etc.) respond correctly and the iPhone / iPad starts to charge. Initially maybe with 500mA, then 1A, then with 2.4A etc. Depending on the model and the current charge level, but also on the battery temperature of the iPhone / iPad, the Apple charge controller decides actively and independently how much power should be drawn. Thanks to the above-mentioned exchange about the maximum power, the Apple charging controller can be sure that it will get this power at any time over the charging period. What do tizi chargers do better than "standard" or cheap power supplies? Power supplies can have errors or problems at different levels. Here are two classic examples:
  • With cheaper power adapters, the communication protocol is often missing, meaning the adapter and the iPhone / iPad are unable to communicate properly. If an iPhone / iPad gets a strange result from the power supply when the performance data is exchanged (e.g. the protocols of both devices do not understand each other), then an iPhone only charges with a maximum of 500mA, which is very very slow. In this case, the iPad will show the "Not charging" message. The iPhone / iPad does this in order to prevent the power supply from becoming overloaded.
  • Another problem is possible overload - leading to a fire hazard. For example, this could occur if the cheap power supply tells the iPhone / iPad that it is able to charge up to 2.4A. If an iPad then requests this current during the charging process, the power supply will become overloaded. In the best case, it will simply turn off. However, it could also overheat and catch fire.
tizi power supplies are specially tailored to Apple devices, "speak" correctly with the charging controllers installed by Apple and are always able to supply the battery of an iPhone / iPad with the requested current. This means, when using a tizi device, the battery of an iPhone / iPad is never overloaded or even broken.
We recommend the use of tizi flip ULTRA cables in combination with tizi products: tizi flip ULTRA USB-C to Lightning cables Please pay attention to only use Apple Mfi certified cables. There are regular problems with uncertified cables. How does it affect your devices? Your devices will not charge, or maybe only charge a little bit. In addition, Apple can switch with any iOS update, which can potentially make not licensed cables inactive. Try to refrain from purchasing uncertified USB-C to lightning cables from unauthorized international sellers.
According to our experience, this error when used in combination with a tizi device indicates connection problems with the cable used. Please check the Lightning cable for the following defects:
  • The cable is broken, bent, or "frayed"
  • The contacts of the Lightning connector are partially darkened
In general, we recommend always replacing the cable to rule out a defect.
For fast charging you need a tizi or Apple Lightning to USB-C cable. Buy this cable from a brand manufacturer like tizi. No-name suppliers often times offer fake china cables which do not work! When charging, plug the cable into the Lightning jack on your iPhone / iPad and then into the USB-C jack on your tizi device.
Older iPhones charge on tizi USB-C power supplies (tizi Tankstation USB-C, tizi Tankstelle USB-C and Turbolader ULTRA) both on the USB-A port and on the USB-C port. When using the USB-C port, the tizi flip ULTRA or Apple USB-C to Lightning cable is absolutely necessary. This cable is only available from certified manufacturers such as tizi or from Apple itself, as they install Apple's own circuits there. Other providers on Amazon etc. often offer fakes that cannot be used.
tizi products work with the Apple MagSafe Qi charger. It is important to use a tizi charger with a USB-C PD output. Further details on MagSafe compatibility can be found on our MagSafe page. Note: There is a MagSafe connector from Apple for older MacBooks. This connector does not support USB-C PD charging and is therefore not compatible with tizi products.

You can define the channel sort order yourself in TV Pro. The sort order is then taken into account in all views. How it works:
  • Select TV Pro > Settings > Add channels > My channels
  • Tap the handle on the right and drag the channel to the desired position
  • The “Automatic numbering” function can be used to assign numbers to the channels. Alternatively, you can manually assign a number to each channel by clicking on the number field next to the channel.
FAQ Image - S_1100.png
If numbers have already been assigned in the past, these can be corrected under Settings - Add channels - My channels. Then, as usual, tap on the number fields on the right and enter a different number. Tip: It is easiest to first sort the channels there in the order of your television and then tap on “Automatic numbering” at the top. If you add channels later, they will not automatically be assigned a number. Move the channel back to the desired position and tap on “Automatic numbering” again. If the channel order is still incorrect or some channels cannot be changed, it may help to remove all channel numbers at the very bottom of the “My channels” list and start numbering again.

Many app providers finance themselves as follows: They flood the free version of the app with advertising so that you can "buy yourself free" from advertising with the paid version. We call that extortion. Interestingly, this is often done by providers such as traditional publishers who desperately try to monetize their old magazine offerings digitally: without attractive features, without understanding of mobile platforms. If the revenue is then not high enough, the free version is increasingly flooded. We don't think much of that. Our advertising principles are as follows:

    Advertising "No-Gos":

    • No overlay advertising that you have to "tap away" ("Find the close box")
    • No full-screen preroll clips for games and other advertising trash
    • No advertising timers ("Banner/video must be viewed for at least 10 seconds until you find the close box")
    • No permanent occupation of the screen by advertising
    • No combinations/chains of the aforementioned on buttons and functions of the app

    We are for:

    • Target group-relevant advertising, in the form of hints and banners
    • No "flooding" with advertising in the free version
    • No "buying" of advertising freedom in the paid version
Conclusion: We offer discreet advertising in all versions. We do not primarily finance ourselves through advertising, but offer exciting new features in our paid and free versions as a technology provider. We want to convince customers to buy because they want innovative features. Not to "buy themselves free" from advertising floods.

Assuming a program is running on Friday night at 0:05 AM. In the TV Pro Apps, however, this program appears in the listing on Thursday at 0:05 AM. Why is that? For the TV day, it is assumed that the TV day starts at 5 AM and lasts until 4:59 AM the next day. Two reasons: - If you look in the listing for what’s running on Thursday evening, say from 11 PM, you also want to see the programs that start at 0:05 AM. You "think" it’s still "Thursday evening". Therefore, programs after midnight are also counted as Thursday. - It is based on the "wake cycle", i.e. until you go to bed (hopefully before 5 AM!) programs are counted to the day you got up, i.e. are awake. A program at 2 AM is therefore still counted to the mentioned Thursday and not (calendarically correct) to Friday. Friday contains all programs until Saturday morning at 4:59 AM. From 5 AM the new TV day then starts.
